Daisy's story

Picture
Dogs in Doha would like to introduce Daisy, found running around in the yard of one of Doha’s veterinary centres at the end of October. Though matted, dirty, hungry and thirsty she was full of fun, energy and vitality that belied her 7-10year age and the large tumour she had on her chest.  She was probably used for breeding.  Of course she won everyone’s heart in a flash!  Here she is before her make over………..

Wash & brush up time!

Picture
After a wash and brush up she looked like this.  You can see her tumour on the left of the picture on her chest…… She might be a Tibetan terrier.  We’re not really sure but we’ll have a better idea once her fur grows back.  She’s certainly a lively little lady, running here there and every where, wagging her tail furiously all the time!

Recovering from her operation

On the advice of the vet, Dogs in Doha decided to have the tumour removed and to have her spayed to try to prevent any more tumour growth.  It turned out to be a very large tumour which would have continued to grow so definitely better out than in!  Thankfully the tumour doesn’t appear to have spread.

Daisy will be recovering at her foster home for the next couple of weeks.  Once restored to health, Dogs in Doha will be looking for a permanent home for her where her owners can give her the care she needs.

If you would like to contribute to Daisy’s medical bill, please give your donation to Dr Beth Altimimi at her new veterinary centre in the Cultural Village 44081492.  Dr Altimimi and her expert team conducted Daisy’s operation and are overseeing her ongoing medical care.

Daisy and Dogs in Doha thanks you in advance for your generosity!
